Green Building Certification

LEEDCertificationSES is a member of the USGBC (US Green Building Council) to further encourage sustainable new building design. Green buildings reduce costs and minimize environmental impact while increasing social benefits and comfort.

Why does Synergy Efficiency Solutions choose LEED?
LEED certification is recognized across the globe as the premier mark of achievement in green building. Our Energy Efficiency Experts provide full LEED consulting services, including:

Feasibility Study - Provides our clients with analysis and feedback on where their building(s) stands with regard to LEED pre-requisites and credits. Based on these findings, our clients are informed on what they can and cannot achieve based on their objectives, budget and design specifications.

LEED Certification - Synergy Efficiency Solutions' LEED team will manage the application and certification process for your project, facilitate communications with LEED administration, and guide your architects, MEP engineers and contractors through the necessary steps to gain the credits on offer.

Energy Modeling and Simulation - Building Performance Simulations assist in achieving a number of LEED credits. In particular Energy & Atmosphere Credit 1, which is by far the most important LEED credit with up to 19 points on offer (the most of any credit). This reflects the crucial nature of Building Performance Simulations in ensuring the energy efficiency of a building. Synergy Efficiency Solutions' experienced building performance simulators can model all aspects of your building's performance, including lighting specifications, thermal comfort analysis, cooling system sizing, and building envelope optimization to name a few.

What is LEED?

LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is a green building certification program that recognizes best-in-class building strategies and practices. To receive LEED certification, building projects satisfy prerequisites and earn points to achieve different levels of certification. Prerequisites and credits differ for each rating system, and teams choose the best fit for their project. LEED is flexible enough to apply to all project types. Each rating system groups requirements that address the unique needs of building and project types on their path towards LEED certification. Once a project team chooses a rating system, they'll use the appropriate credits to guide design and operational decisions. Each rating system is made up of a combination of credit categories. Within each of the credit categories, there are specific prerequisites projects must satisfy and a variety of credits projects can pursue to earn points. The number of points the project earns determines its level of LEED certification. There are four levels of certification - the number of points a project earns determines the level of LEED certification that the project will receive.
